Signatech still in talks with one OEM for 2027 WEC

Signatech team principal Phillipe Sinault has said the team remains in talks with one manufacturer over a last-minute deal to keep its car on the FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar grid in 2027. The entry deadline is 23 November, and Sinault said the team is ready to run two cars next year if a deal can be reached.

Talks with Chinese automotive group Geely broke down last month, and many of the team's drivers have admitted a sabbatical from Hypercar is likely. Sinault said discussions with other manufacturers continue, including one unnamed brand that could take over the programme as a complete re-brand, using the same engine and bodywork.

If no deal is reached, Sinault said there are "Plan B" and "Plan C" options, with an LMP2 effort in the European Le Mans Series the first back-up, and a goal to return to the world championship in 2028. The team's final race with Alpine is the season-ending 6 Hours of Monza this weekend.
