Cassidy tops wet FP3 at Monza ahead of WEC finale
Peugeot TotalEnergies driver Nick Cassidy ended the final Free Practice session of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship season fastest, with the track still wet at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza. His best lap of 1:42.706 in the #93 9X8 was 0.040 seconds quicker than Victor Martins in the #36 Alpine, while Robert Kubica was third in the #83 AF Corse Ferrari 499P.
Kubica was involved in the session's most significant incident, when contact with Tom Gamble's #007 Aston Martin at Parabolica caused both cars to rotate. The Stewards deemed Gamble responsible and awarded him a 10-second stop-go penalty. The #51 Ferrari spent 47 minutes in the pits while a braking issue was addressed.
In LMGT3, Alessio Rovera was quickest in the #21 Vista AF Corse Ferrari 296 LMGT3 Evo with a 1:56.089, ahead of Maxime Martin in the #61 Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG.
