Signatech seeks new Hypercar route for 2027 as Geely talks collapse
Signatech is still pursuing a place in the 2027 World Endurance Championship with a rebadged Alpine A424, despite the collapse of negotiations with Geely. Team principal Philippe Sinault said the team is considering all options to secure its future.
Sinault said talks are continuing with other manufacturers about taking over Renault's Hypercar programme. He acknowledged that time is short, with the registration deadline for 2027 WEC set for late November. Geely had been in advanced negotiations with Renault since the summer, but talks ended abruptly in early October.
Sinault stressed that Geely was never the only option, and said he remained positive about the team's prospects. He declined to say why the Geely deal failed, pointing instead to the need to keep pushing for a solution before the deadline.
