Alex Quinn reflects on Hypercar debut at Barcelona

Source: Motorsport Week · · added 5 hours ago

Alex Quinn made his Hypercar debut at the 6 Hours of Barcelona, stepping into Team Peugeot TotalEnergies' #93 Peugeot 9X8 for the final two rounds of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship season. The 25-year-old replaced Stoffel Vandoorne after the Fuji round, joining Nick Cassidy and Paul Di Resta. His promotion came earlier than the planned 2027 full-time debut, and he had spent the season as a test and development driver with Peugeot.

Quinn described the weekend as a special moment in his career and said the transition into the team felt seamless thanks to the support around him. The #93 did not finish in the points, but he said the team made significant progress over the weekend and that he had no regrets about his stint. He highlighted managing traffic alongside the LMGT3 field as a challenge that could not be fully prepared for outside competition.
