McLaren to bring Brazil GP upgrades with eye on 2027 front wing concept
McLaren will introduce revisions to the front and rear wings, plus some floor components, for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix. The team is aiming to close the gap to its rivals over the final four races of the season.
Chief technical officer for aerodynamics Peter Prodromou said the upgrades are part of the normal development cycle and are intended to improve performance now. He also confirmed that the new front wing concept is expected to carry over into the launch specification of next year's car.
McLaren is currently fourth in the constructors' championship, 17 points behind Red Bull after Max Verstappen's win in Mexico City. Red Bull has scored 152 points across the last five races, compared with McLaren's 59.
