Lance Stroll to miss Sao Paulo media day after illness
Aston Martin has confirmed that Lance Stroll will miss media day ahead of the Sao Paulo Grand Prix while he recovers from an illness. The team said he is recovering well and is expected to return to the paddock on Friday, when he is also expected to take part in FP1.
Aston Martin had a difficult previous weekend in Mexico, where Stroll and Fernando Alonso were both instructed to stop their cars in the opening laps after a string of failures. Stroll is currently 22nd in the standings and is one of only three drivers yet to score a point.
Charles Leclerc is also missing his media duties in Brazil, having travelled late following the birth of his first child earlier in the week.
