Haas confirms Ocon will not return; Camara to make F1 debut in Brazil
Haas has confirmed that Esteban Ocon will not return to a race seat with the team this season. Rafael Camara will take over Ocon's car from this weekend's round in Brazil, where he will make his Formula 1 debut at his home race.
Ocon had taken part in Friday's second practice session in Mexico before Haas unexpectedly replaced him with test driver Ryo Hirakawa. Ocon later confirmed a difference of opinion with the team, while strongly denying that physical violence had been used to resolve it. Team principal Ayao Komatsu said the decision was made in the best interest of the team and that the conversations remain an internal matter. Komatsu praised Camara's performance in his TPC outing in August, and the team has not said who will drive in the final three rounds of the championship.
