Kubica confirms he will leave AF Corse after 2026
Robert Kubica has confirmed he will not return to AF Corse's #83 Ferrari 499P Hypercar in the FIA World Endurance Championship next year, following the conclusion of the 2026 season at Monza. Speaking in a video posted to social media, the 41-year-old said: "this has been my last race in yellow", adding, "Let's see what the future will bring."
Kubica has been a constant in the #83 car since it joined the Hypercar field ahead of the 2024 season. During that time he won the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 2024 Lone Star Le Mans, and finished runner-up in the 2025 Hypercar Drivers' World Championship. He shared the car with Ye Yifei throughout all three campaigns, with Robert Shwartzman joining in 2024 and Phil Hanson completing the line-up over the past two seasons.
The 2026 season was a difficult one for the crew, with top-five finishes at São Paulo and Barcelona the highlights. Kubica has not indicated what his plans for 2027 will be.
