Corvette can clinch WEC LMGT3 titles at Monza

Source: Autoweek · · added 1 hour ago

The World Endurance Championship ends its season at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza on Sunday, a substitute venue after the Bahrain round was replaced because of the war in the Middle East. The six-hour race will decide the LMGT3 team and driver championships.

TF Sport's Corvette team leads the LMGT3 standings, 18 points ahead of the No. 92 Manthey Racing Porsche. Jonny Edgar, 22, is in contention for the drivers' title alongside teammates Ben Keating and Nicky Catsburg, who missed earlier races through injury and a conflict with the IMSA WeatherTech Championship.

Corvette has won at Monza before, taking the LMGTE Pro class in 2022 and Keating's LMGT3 Am title in 2023. Manthey will start Porsche's 500th WEC race, with Richard Lietz making his 100th start in the series.
