Pourchaire will not race for Peugeot in Hypercar in 2027
Peugeot's Théo Pourchaire has confirmed he will not return to a race seat with the French manufacturer's Hypercar programme in 2027, as he focuses on his new Formula E drive with Opel. The 23-year-old has shared the #94 Peugeot 9X8 with Malthe Jakobsen and Loïc Duval during his first full season in the role.
Pourchaire said he hoped to return to Peugeot's FIA WEC programme one day, noting that racing for a French manufacturer at Le Mans is something he would not want to miss. Opel and Peugeot are both part of the Stellantis group, with their World Championship programmes based under the same roof.
Jakobsen and Stoffel Vandoorne are also confirmed departures, while Robert Shwartzman, Jean-Éric Vergne and Alex Quinn are set to join the line-up next season.
