Le Brocq and Allen disqualified from Sandown 500 practice
Matt Stone Racing driver Le Brocq has been disqualified from the Practice 1 result after the team fitted the wrong drop gear ratio to his Chevrolet Camaro. He had finished 15th in the session, but a disqualification was always going to follow once the mistake was identified.
In Practice 2, Allen was also disqualified after the stewards found the right-rear tyre on his Grove Racing Mustang was below the minimum pressure. The competitor's representative did not dispute the breach and described it as an unintentional error by the team. Allen had been 13th in the session, which was topped by teammate Matt Payne.
Allen had previously avoided punishment for a tyre pressure breach in the Sunday race in Perth earlier this year. Supercars appealed that decision but ultimately lost the case.
