Zach Bates signs multi-year deal with Matt Stone Racing
Matt Stone Racing has confirmed multi-year contracts for driver Zach Bates and naming rights sponsor Bendix, extending their relationship through to at least 2028. Bates had faced speculation over his Supercars future before a standout 2026 Bathurst 1000, where he took pole position and finished third in the Great Race.
Bates, who won the Super2 Series in 2024 and made his Supercars debut as a Triple Eight wildcard in 2025, joined Matt Stone Racing this year alongside Jack Le Brocq. Team owner Matt Stone praised Bates' rookie campaign and said the stability across the driver lineup and key partnerships would help the team build on its foundations.
Bendix vice president for Asia Pacific George Kyriakopoulos said the brand will remain on the #10 Chevrolet Camaro. The announcement comes despite reports that Bendix is in voluntary administration following the collapse of its United States-based parent company, First Brands Group.
