Raul Fernandez targets Qatar MotoGP return after broken finger ruled out Malaysia
Raul Fernandez is aiming to race at the Qatar MotoGP this weekend after missing the last two rounds with a broken finger. He fractured two fingers in a Sprint crash at the Indonesian MotoGP in October, and he raced to second place the following day before withdrawing from the Australian and Malaysian rounds.
Fernandez has undergone an intensive medical and physiotherapy regime, according to his Trackhouse team, in an effort to be fit for Qatar. He said he enjoys the night-time race and the layout of the circuit, although he has never scored points there. Trackhouse team principal Davide Brivio said the team arrived in Qatar with a good weekend in Malaysia from Ai Ogura, who finished fourth in both the Sprint and the main race.
