Vasseur meets Hamilton and Leclerc after Mexico clash
Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur held a meeting with Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc in Sao Paulo following their wheel-to-wheel collision at the start of the Mexican Grand Prix. The incident saw Hamilton lose ground to Max Verstappen, while Leclerc received a penalty and later surrendered the lead, leaving Verstappen to win ahead of Hamilton and Leclerc in fourth.
Speaking to the media in Brazil, Vasseur said the drivers must respect each other while putting the team and brand first. He declined to single out Leclerc for blame, pointing to his recent battle with Verstappen in Austin, and acknowledged that Ferrari had failed collectively by not converting its one-two position into a win.
Vasseur said the meeting's conclusion was a clear reminder that Ferrari comes first.
