Camara receives reprimand for impeding Leclerc in Brazil
Haas driver Rafael Camara has been given a reprimand by the FIA stewards after impeding Ferrari's Charles Leclerc in the second practice session at the Brazilian Grand Prix. The incident occurred at Turn 15, where Leclerc had to take to the run-off area to avoid a collision with the slower Camara.
The stewards said Camara had been warned several times that Leclerc was arriving on a fast lap, yet continued weaving into the racing line. They concluded the situation was clearly dangerous and that a reprimand was warranted, as the typical penalty for impeding in practice is a warning.
Camara is set to make his full Formula 1 debut at his home race in Brazil, having replaced Esteban Ocon at Haas after the Mexican Grand Prix. The 21-year-old Ferrari junior driver won the F3 title in 2025 and leads the F2 championship with two rounds remaining.
