Rosberg blames Leclerc for Mexico City clash with Hamilton and urges Vasseur to act
Nico Rosberg has said Charles Leclerc was at fault for his opening-lap clash with Lewis Hamilton at the Mexico City Grand Prix, saying it was "always Charles' fault" and pointing to Monza as a previous example. He told Sky Sports F1 that the pattern of incidents between the Ferrari team-mates was becoming a problem for the team.
During the race, Hamilton and Leclerc went wheel-to-wheel through the opening corners, and Leclerc cut the chicane to emerge ahead while Hamilton ran wide at Turn 4 and lost ground to Max Verstappen. Hamilton was unhappy after the race and called for "serious talks" within the team.
Rosberg said team principal Fred Vasseur needed to set clear racing guidelines between the two drivers, warning that drivers settling disputes on track would only make matters worse.
