Racing Bulls close to naming 2027 line-up amid Lawson uncertainty
Racing Bulls team boss Alan Permane says the team is close to announcing its driver line-up for the 2027 Formula 1 season. Racing Bulls is the only team yet to confirm either driver for next year, with four races left in 2026. Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad are the incumbents, while Nikola Tsolov, currently second in the Formula 2 championship, is also reportedly in contention.
Permane declined to give a date, saying the team is applying analysis to the decision and is not in a rush. He said pace and speed are the first considerations, but that Racing Bulls also has a responsibility to develop young talent for Red Bull, and that some experience is needed to measure that talent. He added that he is confident the right decision will be made and that he expects an announcement in the coming weeks.
Lawson has more points than Lindblad, 83 to 38, but the outcome remains uncertain.
