Permane says Racing Bulls 2027 decision will be right

Racing Bulls team boss Alan Permane says the team will make the right choice when it confirms its 2027 driver line-up, adding that it is taking time to study its options. The team is yet to announce any driver for next season, with both seats open and three drivers under consideration: Liam Lawson, Arvid Lindblad and Nikola Tsolov.

Permane said the team was not in a rush and wanted to avoid the snap decisions he felt had affected some young drivers in the Red Bull programme. He said the team was applying "a little bit of science" to the process, and that he understood the frustration of the drivers and others waiting for an announcement.

Lawson has scored points on several occasions this season, while Lindblad has 11 points finishes in his rookie year. Permane said outright pace and speed would be the main factors in the decision, with experience also playing a part.
