Leclerc points to set-up changes after tricky Sao Paulo practice
Charles Leclerc described his second practice session at Interlagos as one of the worst feelings he has had in the Ferrari SF-26 this year. He finished seventh, 0.720 seconds behind Kimi Antonelli, and was also forced to take evasive action to avoid Haas rookie Rafael Camara on the main straight, costing him around two-tenths of a second.
Leclerc said the car's balance and feel were not right and that he has ideas on the set-up direction, with significant changes planned for the car ahead of qualifying. He missed the opening session, which was handed to junior driver Dino Beganovic, who completed only 11 laps because of reliability issues.
Leclerc did not believe his absence from FP1 was the main cause of Ferrari's struggles, instead pointing to a lack of fundamental pace across Friday.
