Leclerc misses Interlagos media day as Ferrari criticism mounts

Charles Leclerc will miss Thursday's media duties at Interlagos after returning to Monaco following the Mexican Grand Prix for the birth of his daughter Bianca. He and partner Alexandra announced the birth on Instagram, and the Ferrari driver is travelling back to Brazil in time for the race weekend. Leclerc will also sit out FP1, which had already been planned, with Dino Beganovic driving his Ferrari in the opening session.

Criticism of Ferrari's handling of its drivers has continued. Former team boss Maurizio Arrivabene said Leclerc came off second-best against Lewis Hamilton in Mexico and that the team now appears divided internally. Arrivabene urged team principal Frederic Vasseur to take control, while Nico Rosberg warned that if Vasseur does not intervene, the drivers will take matters into their own hands.
