Antonelli to run Senna tribute helmet at Sao Paulo Grand Prix
Kimi Antonelli has confirmed he will race with a special tribute helmet to Ayrton Senna at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix. The Mercedes driver recently clinched his maiden world championship title in Mexico City, and the Brazilian race also marks 35 years since Senna's win in sixth gear at his home event.
Antonelli described the design as one of his best helmets and said the support from Brazilian fans had been incredible, both this year and last. He added that he was looking forward to returning to the country.
Antonelli has also confirmed he will keep number 12 next season rather than switch to the number one afforded to the champion, a number Senna used with Lotus and McLaren. He said the number keeps him grounded and that he is superstitious about number one, which has never gone well for him.
