Bulega jokes about WorldSBK return at Phillip Island

Source: GPone · · added 1 hour ago

Nicolò Bulega joked about a possible return to Superbike during a appearance at EICMA in Milan on Friday, where he met fans, signed autographs and posed for photos. The 23-year-old, now firmly focused on MotoGP with the VR46 team, suggested he could line up for the Australian round at Phillip Island alongside Iker Lecuona and Franco Morbidelli, a circuit where he earlier secured his first victories in both SSP and SBK.

The idea is not realistic, as the regulations would not permit such a move. Bulega's final appearance on the Ducati Panigale V4 will be at Jerez during the last Superbike round, with his attention then turning to MotoGP, starting with the season launch in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Before that, he is due back on the Andalusian track on Tuesday and Wednesday for MotoGP testing, ahead of the Valencia round.
