Jake Dixon says Honda can fight for WorldSBK wins with updated Fireblade

Source: Crash.net · · added 1 hour ago

Jake Dixon believes Honda can challenge for victories in WorldSBK with its updated CBR1000RR-R, which was presented at the EICMA show in Milan. The bike features a new frame, swingarm and fairing with revised aerodynamics, along with several minor engine changes.

Dixon, who tested the bike at Jerez at the end of October, said he is confident in the direction Honda is taking. He described the new aerodynamics as a particularly big difference from the previous model, which debuted in 2024, and said there is still a lot of work ahead.

Dixon's WorldSBK season has ended, but reports emerged that he will ride in place of Joan Mir at the Qatar MotoGP this weekend, as Mir's vision problems returned at Malaysia.
