Dixon says new Honda CBR 1000 RR-R is a big step forward for WorldSBK
Jake Dixon has praised the new Honda CBR 1000 RR-R, which Honda is showcasing at EICMA after its first track outing at Jerez two weeks earlier. The British rider said the bike features new aerodynamics and a new frame, and described it as a significant improvement on the previous machine.
Dixon said the aerodynamic changes make a noticeable difference, adding that with the old bike riders hardly noticed any effect. He stressed that there is still a lot of work to do but said he has full confidence in the direction Honda is taking, particularly ahead of upcoming rule changes.
Honda has yet to win a race since HRC entered the World Superbike Championship as a factory team, and Dixon said his goal and Honda's is to win.
