Logan takes Super2 lead from Dalton with Sandown win
Logan started from pole position and led every lap of the 40-minute Dunlop Super2 Series race at Sandown, taking the win by a second from Gomersall. Vaughan finished a further 2.7 seconds back, with Morris, Dalton, Goodall, Tomsett, Hillyer, Hall and Love completing the top 10. Logan's victory moves him into the series lead, and he said he had always believed he could overturn a points deficit to Lochie.
Dalton made a strong start to challenge Vaughan, but lost control exiting Turn 1, allowing Morris to pass him at Turn 4. Elliott Cleary's hopes of a top 10 finish ended after Love made contact, damaging the left rear toe link on Cleary's car. Cleary pitted for repairs and returned four laps down.
Ayrton Hodson ran wide into the gravel trap twice, once in qualifying and again with 10 minutes remaining in the race. The Super2 Series returns for the Adelaide Grand Final on November 26-29.
