Brown to support Feeney in Adelaide Supercars Grand Final
Tickford's Lee Brown has been eliminated from the Supercars Finals Series after finishing 20th and seventh at the Sandown 500, leaving him fifth in the points before the weekend and seventh by its end. Broc Feeney, who started the weekend second and finished third, remains in contention for the title.
Brown said he would support Feeney in Adelaide, adding that he would race hard but would not drive recklessly to put his teammate in a winning position. He described his season as a tough one, partly overshadowed by an undersized restrictor that hurt his performance until the Ipswich Super440.
Feeney, for his part, said he would rather Brown had been in the title fight. He must now overcome Matt Payne and Brodie Kostecki to take the championship, having lost the 2024 title to Chaz Mostert in Adelaide.
