TWG reportedly exploring sale of Cadillac F1 stake

Source: F1i.com · · added 3 hours ago

Reports suggest Mark Walter, owner of TWG Global, is sounding out potential buyers for his stake in the Cadillac Formula 1 team. Sportico alleges at least seven potential investors have shown interest despite an asking valuation of $3 billion.

The reported talks would contradict a statement from TWG in August, which said it was not considering a sale of the Cadillac team or any other part of TWG Motorsport. Walter's sporting portfolio also includes Andretti Global in IndyCar, Spire Motorsports in NASCAR and Walkinshaw TWG Racing in Supercars, and he has recently sold the Los Angeles Lakers and part of his stake in Chelsea FC.

Cadillac has yet to score a world championship point in its debut season, with Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez 23rd and 24th in the drivers' standings. Perez has signed a new multi-year deal, while Bottas' 2027 position is less certain.
