Racing Bulls extends Alan Permane as Team Principal to 2031
Racing Bulls has announced that Team Principal Alan Permane has signed a contract extension keeping him in his post until the end of 2031. Permane joined the Faenza-based team at the start of 2024 as Racing Director and was elevated to Team Principal when Laurent Mekies moved to Red Bull in July of last year.
Permane will also continue as Co-CEO of the sporting side, alongside Peter Bayer, who will continue to oversee the commercial side. In a statement, Permane said he was proud to continue the journey with VCARB and thanked Red Bull for its trust and support. Oliver Mintzlaff, Red Bull's CEO of Corporate Projects and Investments, praised the progress the team has made under his leadership.
Racing Bulls has become the leading team in Formula 1's midfield under Permane, and it enters this weekend's Sao Paulo Grand Prix leading nearest challengers Alpine by 39 points.
