McLaren alone bringing upgrades to Brazilian Grand Prix

Source: PlanetF1 · · added 1 hour ago

McLaren is the only team to bring upgrades to the São Paulo Grand Prix at Interlagos, according to official FIA documentation. The package includes an entirely redesigned front wing, a new rear wing assembly, a new beam wing and a modified floor, all aimed at improving performance rather than reliability.

Chief technical officer, Aerodynamics, Peter Prodromou said the aim is to make up ground over the remaining races and build momentum into 2027. McLaren currently sits fourth in the constructors' championship, within touching distance of Red Bull, though it has fallen back in recent weeks as Max Verstappen has returned to winning form.

The Interlagos layout often creates numerous incidents, and with heavy rain expected on Saturday, attention will be on how many spare parts McLaren can manufacture during the weekend.
