Permane signs long-term deal to lead Racing Bulls to 2031
Alan Permane has signed a new long-term contract that keeps him as team principal and co-CEO sporting of Racing Bulls through to the end of 2031. He joined the Faenza-based team as racing director in January 2024 and was promoted to team principal in July 2025.
Since that promotion, the team claimed its first podium under the Racing Bulls name at last year's Dutch Grand Prix and matched its best-ever constructors' championship finish of sixth in 2025. This season it has become a regular points scorer and is still fighting for fifth in the constructors' standings.
Oliver Mintzlaff, CEO Corporate projects and investments at Red Bull, praised Permane's influence on the team's progress. Permane, who spent 34 years with the team that became Enstone and won world titles alongside Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso, said he was proud to continue the journey with VCARB.
