Max Verstappen unveils Brazil-themed helmet for São Paulo Grand Prix
Max Verstappen will race in a helmet featuring the colours of the Brazilian flag at this weekend's São Paulo Grand Prix at Interlagos. The Dutch driver has strong links to the circuit, including his wet-weather drive in 2016 and his recovery from 17th on the grid to win in 2024, a result that all but sealed his fourth world title.
Verstappen's partner, Kelly Piquet, is from Brazil, and he is also close friends with Audi driver Gabriel Bortoleto, who is a home favourite. The design sees green, yellow and blue replace his usual red, white and blue for the weekend. Verstappen shared images of the helmet on social media, noting the design brings some samba to São Paulo.
