Haas yet to decide on Camara's seat beyond Brazil
Haas has not confirmed whether Rafael Camara will remain in Esteban Ocon's vacated seat for the rest of the 2026 season. The team said it would decide later, one step at a time. Camara, a Ferrari junior who has been signed full-time for 2027, has been given an early Formula 1 opportunity but is also fighting for the Formula 2 title.
Ryo Hirakawa scored a point on his Formula 1 debut at the Mexican Grand Prix after Ocon was dropped and several rivals received penalties. He is missing the Brazilian round because of Toyota's World Endurance Championship commitments at Imola, but will be available again after this weekend.
Toyota's Masaya Kaji said he had wanted Hirakawa to race in Brazil as well and had discussed it with Haas team boss Ayao Komatsu. He said Toyota would keep looking for further opportunities for the Japanese driver.
