Bearman admits he is 'really missing' Ocon at Haas

Oliver Bearman has said he is "really missing" Esteban Ocon at Haas, after the Frenchman was dropped by the team for the rest of the 2026 season following an internal dispute in Mexico City. Haas confirmed the decision earlier in the week but has declined to say what happened behind closed doors.

Ryo Hirakawa drove in Mexico City, while Rafael Camara, who replaces Ocon for 2027, will make his Haas debut in São Paulo this weekend. Bearman said the situation was difficult for everyone, but added that he did not feel it had caused any disruption and that having Camara in the car was useful preparation for next year.

Bearman and Camara both came through the Ferrari Driver Academy together. Bearman recalled that Camara was shy when they first met, though he now speaks much more English. Bearman said he expects Camara to push him hard, as Ocon did.
