F1 circuit contracts: Status of every track revealed
Race hosting fees are one of Formula One Management's biggest revenue streams, with the 24 events on the 2024 calendar bringing in nearly $1 billion. Under the Concorde Agreement the calendar is limited to a maximum of 24 races, so organisers balance high-paying new venues against classic races.
Several long-term deals have been locked in. Monaco and Italy run to 2031, Britain to 2034, Canada to 2035 and Australia to 2037. Abu Dhabi is secured to 2030, Qatar to 2031, Madrid to 2035 and Miami to 2041. Formula One Management has also introduced rotation, with the Belgian Grand Prix set to alternate with Barcelona-Catalunya from 2028.
The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, whose contract had expired, left the calendar from 2026 and was replaced by a new circuit in Madrid, which took on the Spanish Grand Prix name. Organisers in Zandvoort have also said the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix will be the last, at least for now, because hosting has become prohibitively expensive.
