São Paulo Grand Prix extended to 2035 in F1 deal
Formula 1 has confirmed that the São Paulo Grand Prix at Interlagos will remain on the calendar until 2035. The circuit's existing contract ran through to 2030, so the new agreement adds five further years.
The race is known for its unpredictable weather and memorable wet-weather drives, including Max Verstappen's climb from the back of the grid to victory in 2023 and Lewis Hamilton's win from 10th in 2021. Hamilton also clinched his maiden world title there in 2008, passing Timo Glock on the final corner complex of the last lap.
F1 chief executive Stefano Domenicali said Brazil was an important part of the sport's history and future, and praised the passion of local fans. He also thanked São Paulo Mayor Ricardo Nunes and São Paulo Grand Prix president and CEO Alan Adler for their continued commitment and investment.
