Pedro Acosta's crew chief praises rider's adaptability and learning ability

Source: Crash.net · · added 1 hour ago

Pedro Acosta has been impressive in MotoGP, finishing second in Sepang and securing podiums in four of the last six races. He is fourth in the standings on 295 points, 161 points ahead of the next-best KTM rider, Enea Bastianini.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing crew chief Paul Trevathan said the speed at which Acosta learns impresses him most. Trevathan pointed to Acosta training on motocross, flat track, trials and enduro machines, and continuing to ride after crashes, as examples of his adaptability. He said Acosta finds ways to get the most out of the package each week, sometimes while frustrated.

Trevathan added that Acosta is out-performing the package and that his approach shows other riders that the bike is not always the limiting factor.
