Pedro Acosta leaves KTM and Red Bull to ride for Ducati in 2027
Pedro Acosta will leave KTM, the manufacturer he has raced for throughout his career, to join Ducati for 2027. The move also ends his long-standing partnership with Red Bull, which is tied to the Austrian marque, as the Ducati fairings will carry the competing Monster Energy brand.
Monster has already announced Acosta's arrival in its rider line-up through a short video on its social media channels. The report notes that Monster will remain the title sponsor of the Aprilia factory team, while its presence with Yamaha is set to be scaled back.
The loss of Acosta is a significant blow to Red Bull, which has also seen Marc Marquez move to Ducati in recent years. The report suggests Red Bull could gain Fabio Quartararo if he joins Honda, but that move remains unconfirmed.
