Hanley Motorsports Launches Multi-Car BMW Effort for IMSA in 2027
Hanley Motorsports Incorporated (HMI) will run a dual-series IMSA campaign next year with BMW M4 GT3 EVOs entered in the GTD Pro and GTD classes of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, plus a GS class effort with at least one BMW M4 GT4 EVO in Michelin Pilot Challenge. Team owner Robert Hanley has bought the assets of Paul Miller Racing, including its two GT3-spec BMWs, and the GTD Pro effort effectively takes over from that team's championship-winning campaign this year. Drivers have yet to be announced.
HMI has joined forces with DXDT Racing and ex-Paul Miller Racing staff. Mitchell Simmons will serve as team principal, and Bryan Sellers has been named competition director. David Askew will remain as an advisor, while Clark Condreay will be Chief Financial Officer. The team will initially be based in Buford, Georgia, before moving to a new facility in Flowery Branch, Georgia, late next year.
