Wolff draws parallels between Ferrari tensions and Hamilton-Rosberg
Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff says he sees similarities between the current tensions at Ferrari and the situation he faced with Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg at Mercedes. Hamilton and Charles Leclerc collided on the opening lap of the Mexico City Grand Prix, which ended Hamilton's chance of a win from pole position. Hamilton afterwards called for "serious talks" at Ferrari.
Wolff said Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur had faced the same questions he did between 2013 and 2016. He argued that strong teammates with a desire to win will sometimes clash, and that an on-track incident can help re-establish limits within a team.
Vasseur confirmed he had spoken to both drivers, reminding them that the Ferrari brand and the people representing it come before their personal interests.
