Vettel wins in Brazil as Red Bull claim first constructors' title
Red Bull Racing secured its first World Constructors' Championship at Interlagos on 7 November 2010. The team arrived with a 27-point lead over McLaren and needed a gap of at least 43 points to clinch the title with one round remaining.
Nico Hülkenberg took a maiden pole for Williams in wet qualifying, but Sebastian Vettel overtook him at the first corner. Vettel went on to win by 4.2 seconds from teammate Mark Webber, with Fernando Alonso completing the podium for Ferrari. The 1-2 finish was enough for the constructors' crown, Red Bull's 14th win as a constructor. Hülkenberg held on to finish eighth.
The result left the Drivers' Championship open for Abu Dhabi, with Alonso, Webber, Vettel and Lewis Hamilton still in contention. Vettel won that title a week later.
