Antonelli reveals Senna tribute helmet ahead of São Paulo Grand Prix
Kimi Antonelli will race in a helmet tribute to Ayrton Senna at this weekend's São Paulo Grand Prix, days after becoming Formula 1's drivers' champion. The 20-year-old is now the youngest F1 title winner, having beaten Sebastian Vettel's record by over three years at the Mexico City Grand Prix.
Ahead of the weekend, Antonelli visited the Senna family and his idol's resting place. Unlike last year, he was also invited to sit in the cockpit of a #12 Lotus that Senna raced. The Mercedes driver, who also races under that number, described the day as very emotional and said he was grateful to the family for allowing him to see the car and places where Senna spent much of his time.
The helmet he will wear carries the colours of Senna's own helmet, a Brazilian flag and Senna's famous logo.
