Verstappen gifts helmet to departing Red Bull mechanic Schack

Max Verstappen has given one of his Formula 1 helmets to Ole Schack, Red Bull's number two mechanic, who is leaving the team after 20 years. This weekend's Sao Paulo Grand Prix is Schack's final race with the squad, which has also presented him with a Red Bull can showing his career statistics.

Schack is stepping away from F1 rather than joining a rival, saying he wants to spend more time with his family after being away so much. He told De Telegraaf he was proud to have been part of the team through its ups and downs.

Verstappen praised Schack, telling Viaplay he is an unbelievable mechanic who has given so much of his life to the team.
