Schumacher warns Hadjar his temper could end F1 career
Ralf Schumacher has warned Red Bull driver Isack Hadjar that his increasingly volatile behaviour could cost him his Formula 1 career. Schumacher, a Sky Deutschland pundit, was reacting to an incident in Mexico where Hadjar shoved away a fan who had approached him for a photo. Schumacher said he understood the reaction, noting that some people in the paddock can be rude and disregard personal space.
However, Schumacher said the incident fits a wider pattern, pointing to Hadjar's angry radio messages and repeated complaints about the car. He said Hadjar has a low inhibition threshold and is quick tempered, and that he urgently needs to change. "These things add up," Schumacher said, suggesting Hadjar could lose his job sooner or later if he does not.
Schumacher also said Red Bull will be mindful of the impact on its image and would not want such behaviour associated with the brand.
