Permane signs new Racing Bulls contract to 2031

Source: PlanetF1 · · added 6 hours ago

Racing Bulls has agreed a long-term contract extension with team principal Alan Permane, keeping him in charge until 2031. Permane joined the team in 2024 and was appointed team principal in July last year after Laurent Mekies was promoted to Red Bull. Under his leadership the team has climbed to fifth in the Constructors' Championship, holding a 39-point lead over Alpine with four race weekends remaining.

Permane, who has three decades of Formula 1 experience starting with Benetton 34 years ago, said he was immensely proud to continue the journey with VCARB. He said the team's success was the result of years of hard work from many people and that the team was not done yet. Red Bull's Oliver Mintzlaff praised his clarity, composure and competitive mindset.

Racing Bulls has yet to confirm either of its drivers for next year's championship.
