Perez relaxed over reported Cadillac F1 stake sale
Sergio Perez says he is "pretty relaxed" about online rumours that TWG Global could sell a controlling stake in the Cadillac F1 team. He said he knows the backers behind the project, citing General Motors and TWG Motorsports, and does not expect any change to the team's structure.
Perez said the priority is for the team to focus on racing, with several crucial months ahead of preparations for next season. The rumours surfaced online ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix, where Perez was asked about them at Interlagos after signing a new multi-year deal with Cadillac.
Cadillac has spent much of the 2026 season at the back of the grid and is yet to score a point. Perez believes the team can become a real headache for rivals once it gains further performance from a more competitive package.
