Ocon's Haas exit could become a legal dispute
Esteban Ocon's dismissal by Haas may depend on whether he breached his contract, according to Speed Week. Ocon has denied that any physical violence took place during his confrontation with team boss Ayao Komatsu in Mexico, while the team has not explained exactly what happened.
Komatsu said he had acted professionally and was at peace with the decision. Mercedes boss Toto Wolff, whose organisation still manages Ocon, suggested Komatsu had the right to protect the team and decide when enough was enough. Ferrari boss Frederic Vasseur declined to comment on the matter.
Ocon is reportedly linked with a reserve role at Aston Martin for 2027. Racing Bulls boss Alan Permane said he did not believe the Frenchman's Formula 1 career was over.
