Norris wins rain-hit Sao Paulo GP as Mercedes clinch constructors'
Lando Norris held his nerve through a treacherous, rain-affected Sao Paulo Grand Prix to take his third win of the 2026 season. He recovered the lead after Kimi Antonelli spun at Turn 1 and then held off Max Verstappen, who recovered from the back of the grid to finish second, 14 seconds behind.
Isack Hadjar completed the podium in third, with George Russell and Antonelli fourth and fifth. The result was enough for Mercedes to secure the Constructors' Championship, its eighth crown and first since 2021.
Antonelli had been troubled by a suspension problem that pulled his car to one side, and that issue proved decisive under pressure. The race swung between wet and dry conditions, with rain returning in the closing laps and drivers switching to intermediate tyres.
