McLaren debuts new front wing at Brazilian Grand Prix
McLaren has revealed a new front wing at the Brazilian Grand Prix, part of an end-of-season push to improve its MCL40 car. The squad also brought floor tweaks and an updated rear wing to Interlagos.
The front wing represents a change of concept, with revised attachment points for the main plane and endplate, a repositioned nose attachment and adjusted flap heights. McLaren said the changes aim to add downforce and improve car balance.
Chief technical officer of aerodynamics Peter Prodromou said the upgrades are intended to help the team's fight for third in the championship, and that the concept is expected to carry over into the launch specification of the 2027 car.
