Leclerc says Hamilton row is settled ahead of Brazil
Charles Leclerc says the dispute with Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari has been settled, following talks held on Thursday night at Interlagos. The row followed an incident on the opening lap of the Mexico City Grand Prix, when Leclerc attempted an overtake into Turn 4 and neither Ferrari made the corner. Leclerc received a five-second penalty and later lost position to Max Verstappen, who went on to win.
Hamilton had continued to criticise his teammate as he arrived in Brazil, suggesting Leclerc races him harder than other drivers, and said everyone needs to be on the same page. Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur confirmed the discussions took place.
Leclerc, returning to the car for FP2 after missing FP1, said he considered the matter done. He finished the session seventh, a quarter of a second behind Hamilton, and described it as one of the worst feelings he had experienced in the car this year.
