Hamilton says he and Leclerc have settled Mexico dispute
Lewis Hamilton says he and Charles Leclerc have resolved their dispute after their first-lap battle for the lead at the Mexico City Grand Prix. The clash cost Hamilton a position and saw Leclerc handed a five-second time penalty, which left Ferrari without its best chance of a win for some time.
Hamilton said Team Principal Fred Vasseur had not been directly involved in clearing the air, and that the two drivers had sat down and spoken. He added that they still respect each other and are getting along as normal, with both sides giving their views on areas they can improve.
Ferrari heads to the Sao Paulo Grand Prix with a difficult weekend ahead, as Leclerc takes a 10-place grid penalty for an ICE change and Hamilton starts at the back after a total power unit change.
